​Lighting/colour:​
Bright colours contrast dark background. Bass uses shades of lights to add effect on the wording, the brightest part of the typography is centred in the middle this is to bring the audience’s attention to the centre of the screen.

The first scene of the film conveys light tones to show the time of day, the brownish tinting of the scene clearly denotes the era in which the film is set 1960’s.

​Camera angle:​
Establishing shot, the wide shot camera angle displays the key objects in the scene, the limited amount of space in the scene shows the necessary points in the scene. The time is conveyed through the use of Christmas decorations and costume.​

​Sound:​

Unlike his other openings, Bass uses music of a more contemporary sound in this opening sequence. The youthful sounds of joyful music create suspense as there is a dramatic change in audio to establish a change of effect.

An element of jazz is introduced to create a theme for the film. This audio sound can be associated with a casino theme, as advocated by the use of imagery in the scene.

The creation of the scene uses playful music to intrigue the audience.

The full effect has been created and thus a change on sound is produced to reflect the importance.
