6) What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the product?
When editing my media products I learnt the different techniques using technologies, I could use for the construction of my film.
Video effects were a large factor influencing the construction of both of my films. Common effects I used included ‘levels’ (this effect edits the lighting in a piece, I used this effect to intensify the lighting in scenes and to also darken), ‘crop’ (an effect which works by cutting out pieces of a shot) and tinting (used to change the colour of a scene)
TINT
The tint video effect works by identifying the dark and light tones in the video and providing the opportunity to manipulate one or the other.
The tint option changes the colour of the scene into black and white.
I clicked onto the white box, which offered me a colour picker box, so that I could change the white tones in the film to another colour. I chose the colour red as this is a traditional colour used in the thriller genre.
The effect of the colour change was that the image became a mixture of intense red with dark tones.
