The opening sequence uses rare scenes of colour. This car on fire is shown in bright colours to highlight the significance of the shot.
Sound:

Cooper creates a scene through the use of music and sound effects. The music proposes an early time period, whereas the sound effects indicate a busy scene. During this scene the main focus is the facial expression of the protagonist, and so the audience’s imaginations are stimulated as they are impelled to mentally create a scene.

The sudden change in music embellishes the drastic change in tone. The audio is uses music which expresses a sorrowful or melancholic mood.

Camera angles:
This transition of shots conveys two parallel camera angles. There is a high angle, tilted view of building; high angles are commonly used to depict a dominating aura to the object of the scene.
Camera movement:
Different transitions in the same scene.
The extreme close up of eyes allows the audience to grasp the feeling of the character, by not looking towards the audience, mystery and tension is built-up in the shot.
