The conventional set up of a house and an open space allows the audience to believe the film, by using these ordinary locations, the audience can easily relate to the film thus making the movie more relatable.  However, the dim lighting in the house evokes the disquieting aura of the film.

Night time, shadows creates suspense. Lighting isolates the person.

Dim lighting, eerie ambiance, dark window instigates anticipation of an event.

Silhouette of statue, lighting suggests early morning, ambiguous location thus the element of the unknown is pronounced.

Tracking, the camera follows the subject as they are running this adds effect to the movement as it seems as though we are following the subject which fashions the idea of being watched, which expresses the agitation of the scene.​

Zoom is used to produce an unsettling impression on the audience. By zooming in, the suspense is raised in the scene as the camera gets closer to the subject henceforth the shot becomes tighter.
