7) Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
Costume
In my main I developed the use of costume by using blue wellington boots to represent my mystery character. Similarly to my preliminary task, the light blue clothing worn by the female character was used to elucidate her innocence and vulnerability, whereas the dark blue shoes worn by the mystery character depicted them as a villain.
In my preliminary the costume I used was to represent the contrast in characters. I used a dark grey blazer for the detective and light grey hoodie for the suspect to convey the status of the characters and to influence the audience’s perception of them.
Mise en scene:
Although I was able to decorate the location of my preliminary to create a plausible interrogation room, as I used a drama studio, I found in my filming that objects in the room were quite apparent in the film. Therefore, in my main I took the set into greater consideration in order to not repeat this error, when filming I filmed in areas where there were very few objects
