In my preliminary, I was limited by the length of shots between each character. I found that one character would have significantly more camera time than the other and this was a factor influencing the development of my film. I realised how important it was to plan the action and the script so that the audience can get a clearer perspective.
During the progression to my main task from my preliminary, I learnt that casting was very important to the film, the representation of the characters was essential to conveying themes and ideas in the product. To deal with this issue I casted one main character as well as a mystery character, the imbalance in camera time length was eminent to the production as it showed the inequality in characters. The aim of the casting was so that the audience would feel sympathetic towards the lead, as it was a young, scared and innocent girl.
