CAMERA ANGLES INSPIRATION

The Negotiator (1998)

This camera angle holds great significance as it highlights the contrast in power, therefore I’d use this angle to highlight the tone in my preliminary, and this angle can be used to show dominance as well as to intensify the emotions of a character.

Syriana (2005)
This low angle camera focuses the attention on the subject and presents a theme of vulnerability vs. power, which I’d like to use in my storyline; therefore I would like to incorporate this angle into my preliminary.

Lord of War (2005)

I may use this camera angle as it establishes the location.
I thought this camera angle was interesting as it created a sense of being watched, and this theme of mystery and tension is a code of thriller. I would use this camera angle in my preliminary as I thought it created a powerful emphasis on the scene.

The Dark Knight (2011)
This off the shoulder shot builds tension in the scene as it portrays the closeness of the characters, which accentuates on the tone of the interrogation. The scene is presented as quite serious as the close view of the character allows the audience to identify the emotions present in the characters expressions.
